The client wanted to improve OR efficiency by predicting the duration for which the OR would be occupied for a pre-scheduled surgical procedure so that patient wait time can be reduced along with optimized shift allocation and minimized OR downtime.

THE SOLUTION

A proprietary self-learning, multi-modeling, automatic prediction technology from Findability.AI was used to predict the OR occupancy times, based on factors like patient demographics, procedure details, planned duration etc.

The procedure records were categorized based on OR occupancy time.

It was ensured that the proportion of each category reflected the actual OR scenario.
